Makeup Monday ~ Coastal Scents Warm Palette

For today’s Makeup Monday, I’m going to talk about my Coastal Scents Warm Palette. And let me tell you, I use this palette ALL THE TIME.

This palette has 88 warm toned shades. Each pot is about the size of a dime, but don’t let that turn you off. I have a few go to colours, that I’ve used about six months now, and I haven’t even made a dent in the surface.

The shadows blend incredibly well, and the staying power is great. I have oily lids, so I see a little bit of creasing closer to the end of the day, but as I have a hooded eye, it’s not noticeable to anyone else. And, keep in mind that I put on my makeup at 7 a.m and it doesn’t come off until 9 p.m.

Let’s take a quick peek at the colors.

Pretty, right? There’s a mix of matte, satin and shimmer finishes. Most are very pigmented. Some of the lighter colours, intended for highlighting, go on quite sheer, but that’s perfect for my purposes. However, if you wanted to use one of the lighter colours as your lid colour, they are very easy to build up.

As for application, I’ve used my fingers, which gives a really concentrated colour. I’ve used the foam tip applicators that are included, again, with a very concentrated affect. More often, I use my eye brushes. The brushes make it easier to control the intensity of the look. I’ve only used them dry, but they can go on wet.

Want to check it out? Coastal Scents is an online-only distributor. They have sales all the time, so do check it out. They ship worldwide, although they do have distributors throughout the world. When not on sale, this palette is $19.95 USD, and it is so worth it.

Fair warning, I love Coastal Scents. There will be a lot of Coastal Scents reviews for Makeup Monday.

Anyway, if you love Coastal Scents as much as I do, or have another brand you think I should try, let me know it the comments.
